It's time for Camp! Camp NaNoWriMo that is! 

Camp NaNoWriMo is a writing event that happens in July. It's different from NaNoWriMo in November because you can work on any type of creative project, not just a novel. First drafts or revision, scripts or stories or poems or essays—all are welcome! Just set a goal and get writing. 

For any teens that are interested there is a Young Writers Program associated with Camp NaNoWriMo and you can actually join a classroom led by Crystal Morris, Youth Services Librarian. Email her at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for a code which you’ll need to join the classroom.

If there’s enough interest she may start two classrooms, one for teens who are more serious about creative writing and one for teens who just want a safe space to keep up to date on each other’s lives since there’s a pretty nifty chat feature on the site.
